O pláne nakúpiť nové autobusy vie aj bratislavský magistrát. DPB má podľa neho viacero autobusov, ktoré sú už staré a nespĺňajú požiadavky občanov na dostatočné zabezpečenie kvality a komfortu pri cestovaní, nie sú nízkopodlažné a nemajú klimatizáciu.
Podľa materiálu, ktorý bol prerokovaný na októbrovej dopravnej komisii, chce DPB nakúpiť približne 30 autobusov dĺžky 18 metrov, 28 autobusov dĺžky 12 metrov, 24 autobusov dĺžky 10,5 metra a asi šesť autobusov dĺžky do deviatich metrov. V rokoch 2014-2015 bolo do DPB zakúpených podľa dôvodovej správy 100 autobusov, čo však podľa podniku predstavuje necelú štvrtinu evidenčného stavu autobusov potrebného na zabezpečovanie autobusovej prepravy.
"Aj napriek čiastočnej obnove je súčasný technický stav autobusov nevyhovujúci. DPB musí pre zabezpečenie svojich výkonov naďalej vypravovať zastarané vysokopodlažné vozidlá a vozidlá s vysokou mierou poruchovosti, čo má nepriaznivý vplyv aj na prevádzkové náklady spoločnosti," píše sa v správe, podľa ktorej je po plánovanej technickej životnosti celkom 73 autobusov.
Predseda mestskej dopravnej komisie Jozef Uhler pre TASR upozornil, že po vyradení 103 autobusov, môže byť nových 88 nepostačujúcich. "Napríklad pri výlukách električiek počas plánovaných rekonštrukcií električkových tratí. Vtedy bude DPB potrebovať viac veľkokapacitných vozidiel, aby vykryl výpadky električiek. Väčší počet vozidiel budeme potrebovať aj v prípade zavedenia parkovacej politiky na jeseň budúceho roka, kedy budeme potrebovať ponúknuť ľuďom dostatočnú kapacitu MHD," priblížil.
Dopravná komisia preto odporučila, aby počet 88 nových vozidiel MHD bol minimálny a aby dozorná rada DPB presnejšie zadefinovala budúce potreby.
Volfová upozornila, že vzhľadom na rozsah investície, nákup nových vozidiel podlieha schvaľovaniu vlastníka, a teda hlavného mesta. "Po ukončení procesu DPB pristúpi k súťaži," podotkla.
