Prevzatím týchto nových vozidiel sa dokončila dodávka kĺbových trolejbusov, ktorých je už dnes v Bratislave 70 kusov. Do premávky budú zaradené o niekoľko dní po vybavení všetkých dokumentácií.
DPB, a.s. ich plánuje nasadiť na linky, kde už v súčasnosti nové kĺbové trolejbusy jazdia, pričom približne o dva mesiace je naplánovaná reorganizácia trolejbusových liniek. Táto reorganizácia bola pripravená už dlhodobo a bola schválená v minulosti Dopravnou komisiou, Dopravný podnik Bratislava ju však nemohol realizovať z dôvodu nedostatku kĺbových trolejbusov. DPB, a.s. reorganizáciou liniek dosiahne optimálne rozloženie kĺbových a sólových trolejbusov na základe vykonaných prieskumov.
Sólových trolejbusov má DPB, a.s. od výrobcu Škoda Electric, a.s. v súčasnosti dodaných 15 kusov, pričom zvyšné opčné vozidlá v počte 20 kusov preberie DPB od výrobcu v septembri a októbri.
Sólo trolejbusov s APU agregátom má v súčasnosti 15 kusov, takže spoločne s 15 sólo trolejbusmi Škoda 30Tr a 70 kĺbovými trolejbusmi Škoda 31Tr už má dnes Bratislava 100 nových trolejbusov.
Modernizácia vozidlového parku Dopravného podniku Bratislava sa realizuje vďaka nenávratnému finančnému príspevku EÚ. Do hlavného mesta pribudlo 80 nových trolejbusov, ktoré zabezpečujú výrazné skvalitnenie služieb a verejnú dopravu na úrovni európskeho štandardu.
Ministerstvo dopravy, výstavby a regionálneho rozvoja SR rozhodlo o poskytnutí finančných prostriedkov vo výške 57 mil. 882 tis. EUR. Uplatnením opcie získa hlavné mesto až 120 nových trolejbusov, čím sa podarí obnoviť kompletne celý prestarnutý vozidlový park.

Dodávateľom trolejbusov je Škoda Electric, a.s. Česká Republika, ktorá v zmysle zmluvných podmienok postupne do 22 mesiacov od podpisu kontraktu dodáva kĺbové trolejbusy, sólové trolejbusy a sólové trolejbusy s APU agregátom.
Prvé vozidlá s homologizáciou začali jazdiť už v roku 2014, teda 10 mesiacov po podpise zmluvy.
